Hello and welcome! I’m Melanie, the friendly face (and crafty hands!) behind The Crafting Fox, a little corner of creativity based in a rural village in North Yorkshire. What started as a small spark of inspiration in March 2025 has grown into a joyful online crafting business full of colour, personality, and heart.
I create handmade, personalised items that bring a little bit of happiness and individuality into everyday life - from sublimation tumblers and tote bags, to glass cups, 3D prints, and even fidget toys for sensory play. Every piece is designed and made with love, care, and a dash of crafty fun.
As a mum of three (one of whom is autistic), I wanted to build something that worked around family life - something creative, flexible, and full of purpose. When my son didn’t have a school placement for two years, I decided it was time to do what I’ve always loved: arts and crafts.
Creating sensory toys and personalised gifts became more than just a hobby. It became a way to help others, share smiles, and support families like mine. Every product I make is unique, affordable, and made to order, because no two people (or ideas!) are ever the same. My service is fully inclusive to all. Those with a disability will not go without. Adaptive products such as drinkware are available to personalise.
Every order is handmade by me, with your preferences in mind. No mass production here - just thoughtful, personal creations.
I’m always happy to chat about custom ideas, designs, or special requests. You’ll always be talking directly to me, no bots, no middlemen, just Melanie!
I believe beautiful, personalised gifts shouldn’t cost the earth. Everything I make is priced to be accessible and fair.
My business was born out of family and care, and that spirit runs through everything I do. Especially when it comes to creating sensory and comfort items for children.
Whether you’re looking for a personalised gift, something special for yourself, or a custom sensory item, you’ve come to the right place. Have a browse, send me a message, or come and say hello if you spot me at a local craft fair - I’d love to meet you!
